Terms of Service — FAXX

Last updated: October 30, 2026

1. Eligibility — 18+

FAXX is for adults aged 18 or older. By using FAXX you confirm that you are at least 18. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up, and we may suspend or delete any account we believe belongs to a minor. We set this limit because FAXX is a competitive game about real-world events, including sport and financial markets, and we require account holders to have full legal capacity to accept these Terms.

2. What FAXX is

FAXX is a social game of skill and knowledge. You call the outcome of real-world events (such as sport, crypto prices, weather and public events) and compete with other players for XP, Rating, levels, ranks, achievements and leaderboard positions.

There is no stake. You never place a bet or a wager in FAXX. What you put behind a call is conviction: a free allowance that refills on its own over time, up to a ceiling. Conviction is neither money nor a score, it is never sold, and it cannot be bought in any way. Playing FAXX costs you nothing, for as long as you like.

There is nothing of value to win. XP, Rating, levels, ranks, streaks, achievements and leaderboard positions have no monetary value and cannot be spent, traded, withdrawn, redeemed or exchanged for money or anything of value. FAXX never pays out money, prizes or anything of monetary value, and there is no prize draw, jackpot or payout of any kind. What you win is standing: your level, your rank and the right to say you called it.

Because there is no stake and nothing of monetary value can be won, FAXX is not gambling, betting, a game of chance, a lottery, a sweepstake or a prize competition. Nothing in FAXX is financial, investment or betting advice.

Event data: the events, questions, crowd percentages, figures and results shown in FAXX are compiled from third-party data sources. They reflect real events but are provided for entertainment only; we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or timing, and we decide in good faith how each event is settled. An event whose source cannot settle it may be cancelled, in which case the conviction behind it is returned.

Simulated activity: to keep events active and balanced, some accounts and some calls in FAXX are generated automatically by the system ("simulated players"). Simulated players are excluded from the ranked leaderboards and never receive anything of value. They may appear elsewhere in the app, such as in suggestion lists, in an event's live-votes and top-player lists, in search results and in follower lists, and the activity and crowd percentages you see on an event may include simulated activity.

3. Conviction, XP & game data — licence, not property

Conviction is a free, self-refilling allowance that lets you take part. It is granted to you, never sold. It is spent when you make a call and is not returned to you whether your call is right or wrong; what a correct call earns you is XP and Rating, never conviction. You can always keep playing by waiting for it to refill.

XP, Rating, levels, ranks, leaderboard positions, achievements, statistics and all other game data are part of the game, not assets. They: (a) have no monetary value; (b) are not your property, money, credit or a balance owed to you; (c) cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, sold, gifted or exchanged for money or anything of value; and (d) cannot be transferred between accounts. They are licensed to you on a limited, personal, non-transferable basis for as long as your account exists, and that licence ends when the account is closed or terminated.

We may adjust, correct, expire or remove game data where there is a valid reason to do so, for example to correct an error or a mis-settled event, to reverse the effects of cheating or manipulation, to keep the game balanced and fair, or where the law requires it. We will not do so arbitrarily. Your rights under data-protection law (such as access, erasure and portability of your personal data) are unaffected, but they do not create ownership of, or any right to compensation for, game data.

4. Nothing is for sale

FAXX has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, and we do not take payment of any kind. If we ever offer something for sale, we will tell you in the app and update these Terms first, and nothing you have earned will depend on buying it.

5. Changes to the game

We may add, change, suspend or remove events, features, rules and game mechanics where there is a valid reason to do so: to keep FAXX working, secure and up to date; to fix errors; to comply with the law or with App Store requirements; to keep play balanced and fair; or to improve or extend what the game offers.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be shown in the app and need your acceptance before you continue playing.

6. Fair play — no trading, no manipulation

You may not sell, buy, trade or transfer game data or accounts outside FAXX; use bots, automation, multiple accounts or exploits; or manipulate outcomes or leaderboards. Doing so may lead to the removal of game data and termination of your account.

Any attempted sale, rental, trade, gift or transfer of accounts or game data outside FAXX, whether for money or anything of value, is void and a material breach of these Terms. We may, without notice, void the game data or accounts involved, reverse related gameplay and permanently ban the participants, and we may report commercial-scale trading to the relevant platforms or authorities.

7. Your content & conduct

You choose a username and may add a profile photo and a full name ("your content"). You must have the right to use what you upload. You may not impersonate any person, or upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or infringes someone else's rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display your content within FAXX for as long as your account exists. We may remove content that breaks these Terms. You can block and report other players in the app.

8. Intellectual property & third-party content

FAXX — its design, code, branding and original content — is owned by us or our licensors. Names and, where shown, logos of real-world events, teams, people, companies, products and organisations appear in FAXX only to identify the events being called; we are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Some event pictures and logos come from third parties (for example Wikimedia Commons, ESPN and TheSportsDB) and are used under their respective terms, with attribution shown in the app where the licence requires it. If you believe any content in FAXX infringes your rights, including copyright, trademark or image/likeness concerns, contact support@faxx.info and we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.

9. Accounts & termination

You are responsible for your account and for keeping it secure. Accounts created in earlier versions of the app continue in FAXX under these Terms. We may suspend or terminate any account, and remove game data, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or manipulation, or where required by law or by Apple. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account).

10. Availability & restricted jurisdictions

We may suspend or discontinue FAXX, in whole or in part, at any time where there is a valid reason to do so. Some events or features may be unavailable in your country.

Restricted jurisdictions: FAXX is not offered in the United States, or in other jurisdictions we restrict from time to time (reflected in the App Store countries where FAXX is available). You may not use VPNs, proxies, false location or country information, or any other means to access FAXX from a restricted jurisdiction or to disguise where you access it from. If you do, you act entirely at your own risk: you are solely responsible for compliance with your local laws, the account may be terminated, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability arising from access we did not offer in your jurisdiction.

11. App Store terms

Your agreement is with us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for FAXX or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance, support or any warranty for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Disclaimers, liability & indemnification

FAXX is provided "as is" for entertainment. To the maximum extent permitted by law: we disclaim all warranties; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; and our total liability arising out of or relating to FAXX is limited to EUR 50. This cap does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or to any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

Indemnification: to the maximum extent permitted by the law of your country of residence, you will indemnify and hold harmless FAXX and its operator from claims, damages, fines and reasonable legal costs brought by a third party or authority arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, including accessing FAXX from a restricted jurisdiction or buying or selling accounts or game data outside FAXX; (b) your content; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not limit your mandatory consumer rights and does not apply to claims caused by our own fault.

13. Governing law & disputes

If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@faxx.info; most issues can be resolved informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer-protection rules, or of the jurisdiction of the courts, of your country of residence; for all other users, the courts of Greece have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Sections 3, 6, 10, 12 and 13 survive the closure or termination of your account.
